Page six of Google is where hardly anyone looks, and that's where this research peptide brand's average result landed in September. The site picked up 5,480 impressions that month and turned them into just 60 clicks. A month of focused work later, the average position was 17.4 and clicks had reached 150 before October was even over.
Here's what we changed, how quickly it showed up, and the search results that back it up. The brand's name and domain are hidden throughout for privacy.

Why the Site Was Stuck on Page Six
Google could see the site and had few reasons to rank it:
- Seven thin pages built around single search phrases. Each one targeted a buying term with little content of its own, which spread the site's signals thin.
- Product copy that needed a compliance pass. Research-use rules leave no room for health claims or usage advice, and every product page needed checking.
- A blog with no steady rhythm. Only five dated posts went out across August and September.
- Few trust signals. Buyers in this niche look for clear policies and a real About page before they order.
What the Audit Turned Up
Our first review of the site added seven more problems to that list:
- Website design problems. The layout made products harder to find and the store harder to trust.
- Broken links. Some links led to dead pages, wasting both a visitor's click and Google's crawl.
- Non-compliant positioning. Parts of the site framed products in ways research-use rules don't permit.
- No off-page presence. Hardly any outside sites linked to the brand or talked about it.
- Similar brand names competing on Google. Brands with near-identical names showed up for this brand's own name, so searchers could end up at the wrong store.
- Empty product pages. Some products had little or no description, leaving buyers and Google with nothing to go on.
- No email marketing for customer retention. Past buyers got no follow-up, so nothing brought them back for a second order.
What We Delivered
Every count here is pulled from the project tracker we keep for the brand.
| Deliverable | September | October 1 to 27 | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| New blog posts published | 3 | 12 | 15 |
| Existing posts refreshed | 0 | 5 | 5 |
| Product pages rewritten (including stacks) | Across Sep to Oct | 16 | |
| Core and trust pages rewritten or added | Across Sep to Oct | 3 | |
| Thin pages redirected into trust pages | Across Sep to Oct | 7 | |
| Guest posts live (paid for independently by the client) | Across Sep to Oct | 3 | |
| Automated email flows live | Across Sep to Oct | 4 (15 emails) |
Cleaning Up the Site First
We redirected the seven thin pages into real destinations: About, FAQs, manufacturing, partner labs, contact, terms, and the purchase disclaimer. That gave Google one strong page per topic. We also rewrote the About page, added new FAQs and site content, and published a research-use policy page.
Product Copy, Rewritten for Compliance
Sixteen product pages, including the multi-compound stacks, got fresh copy. Each describes the compound in research terms and drops any wording that could read as a health or usage claim.
Twelve Posts in October, Plus Five Refreshes
New posts went out roughly every two days through October, each aimed at a comparison or "what is" search researchers type. We also refreshed five older posts with current research, cleaner structure and answer-first openings, which helped them climb fast.
Guest Posts and Email Flows
The client separately funded three guest posts, now published on outside blogs. Four automated email flows (15 emails in all) now welcome new subscribers, recover abandoned carts and win back past buyers.
The Results
The jump in average position came first, and clicks followed.
| Metric (Google Search Console) | September | October 1 to 27 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Average position | 53.7 | 17.4 | 36 places higher |
| Clicks | 60 | 150 | +150% |
| Impressions | 5.48k | 8.63k | +57% |
| Click-through rate | 1.1% | 1.7% | +0.6 points |
Climbing 36 places in a month is fast by any standard. Most SEO work takes several months to show, so a move this size shows how much the cleanup and fresh content changed at once.

Google's AI Features
Impressions from AI Overviews and AI Mode grew from 61 to 776. Most of that growth came in the last week of October, as the newest posts were picked up.
