What our website development services include

Every build follows the same order: plan, write, design, build, test, launch.

  • 01

    Site plan

Pages, URLs and user paths mapped to what buyers search for.

  • 02

    Copy and content

Plain-language pages written before layouts, so design fits the words.

  • 03

    Custom design

Layouts and visuals shaped around your brand and your buyers.

  • 04

    Clean build

Custom-coded WordPress themes or the platform that fits, with few plugins.

  • 05

    Speed and SEO setup

Core Web Vitals targets, schema, redirects and tracking ready at launch.

  • 06

    Launch and handover

Testing on real phones, then training so your team can edit pages.

Risks of a bad build

A bad build costs you in three ways: slow pages that lose buyers, rankings that drop at launch, and plugins that open the door to attackers. Each one is cheaper to prevent during the build than to fix after the site goes live.

We build against all three with our Launch-Safe Build checklist: a speed budget agreed before design, a URL-by-URL redirect map signed off before launch, and a short plugin list where each one has a job, an active developer and an update schedule.

Platforms we build on

The right platform depends on what you sell, who will edit the site and how much control you need. All five are options we build on, and we recommend one after a short scoping call, based on your content, your catalog and your team's comfort with each editor.

PlatformBest forThings to know
WordPress (custom-coded theme)Service businesses, content-heavy sites, blogsOur in-house theme, light on plugins, easy page editing
ShopifyStores that want hosting and security handledMonthly plan, apps add cost, fast to launch
WooCommerceStores already on WordPress that want full controlFree plugin, you manage hosting and updates
WebflowMarketing sites with rich visual designHosting included, visual editor for your team
HeadlessLarge sites that need a custom front endSeparate content system and front end, higher build cost

A custom-coded WordPress theme keeps the code lean and the plugin list short, which helps both speed and security. Shopify trades some flexibility for less upkeep. Headless builds give the most control and need the biggest budget.

A website built for search from day one

A site built for search from day one launches with clean URLs, fast pages, structured data and tracking already working, so search engines can crawl and index it from the first day. We design to Google's Core Web Vitals targets, which web.dev measures at the 75th percentile of page loads on mobile and desktop.

Core Web VitalTargetWhat it measures
Largest Contentful Paint2.5 seconds or lessHow fast the main content shows
Interaction to Next Paint200 milliseconds or lessHow fast the page reacts to a tap
Cumulative Layout Shift0.1 or lessHow much the layout jumps while loading

Each of our web development services handles a different kind of site:

ServiceBest forWhat you get
Website DesignSmall businesses and service companiesA custom site built on the five questions buyers ask
Ecommerce Website DevelopmentShopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce storesFaster stores, cleaner checkouts, SEO in the build
Landing Page DesignPaid ads, email and social campaignsOne-offer pages matched to each traffic source

Industries we serve

We plan each build around how buyers in these fields decide:

  • Ecommerce: product and category pages built to sell
  • Software: feature, pricing and demo pages for long research cycles
  • Healthcare: clear service pages with accessible design
  • Legal: practice-area pages and quick contact paths
  • Finance: trust signals and plain explanations up front
  • Property: listing, area and booking pages
  • Education: program pages for students and parents

What affects cost and timeline

Website cost and timeline come down to the same few drivers: page count, custom features, content, integrations and migration work. A ten-page site for a local service business and a 2,000-product store with ERP sync sit at opposite ends of both budget and schedule.

Feedback speed matters as much as scope. Copy that's ready early and approvals that come back within a few days keep a project on track. Content gathered mid-build pushes the launch date back.

Site sizeTypical scopeWhat stretches the timelineTypical timeline
SmallUp to 10 pages, contact formsCopy written mid-projectSet in your quote
Medium10 to 50 pages, booking or CRM linksMigration and redirectsSet in your quote
Large or store50+ pages or a full catalogIntegrations, product dataSet in your quote

We set dates for wireframes, designs and launch at the start, so you can plan your own team's time around them.

How much does a website cost?

A website costs whatever its scope demands, so any honest price starts with the factors below. Page count, custom features, copywriting, integrations and migration work move the number most. Platform fees and hosting add ongoing costs on top. We quote a project price after a short scoping call.

Ask us directly
What are web development services?

Web development services cover the planning, design, coding, testing and launch of a website. A full service also includes copy, SEO setup, speed tuning, security, analytics and training, so the site works for buyers and your team from day one. Some agencies add ongoing maintenance too.

How much does it cost to have someone develop a website for you?

Five things set the build price: page count, custom features, copywriting, integrations and migration work. Then budget for running costs after launch, such as hosting, platform plans, paid apps and plugin licenses. We price each project once scope is clear, and the quote lists every item.

Is web development still worth it in 2026?

Yes. Your website is the one channel you fully own, and AI search tools, Google and paid ads all send people to it. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects web developer and digital designer jobs to grow 5% from 2025 to 2035, faster than average.

Is AI replacing web developers?

AI tools now help developers write code, draft copy and spot bugs faster. Planning a site around buyers, making trade-offs between platforms, securing plugins and protecting rankings during a migration still need human judgment. The BLS still projects about 13,600 openings a year for web developers and digital designers.

Will a new website hurt my SEO?

It can, if URLs change without a plan. Each old address gets a 301 redirect to its replacement, which Google says doesn't lose PageRank, and titles and content that already rank stay put. Google still expects some ranking movement during the switch.

Which platform should I build my website on?

WordPress suits service businesses and content-heavy sites. Shopify suits stores that want less upkeep, and WooCommerce suits stores already on WordPress. Webflow fits design-led marketing sites, and headless fits large sites with custom needs. We recommend one after learning what you sell and who edits.

How long does it take to build a website?

Page count, features and integrations set the base schedule, and the speed of your content and feedback decides whether it holds. Small sites move fastest. Large sites and stores take longer because of product data, migrations and testing. We agree a date for each milestone before work starts.
