Link building / Guest posting

Guest posting services.

Our guest posting services place expert articles under your name on publications your buyers trust. We pitch editors, write each piece for that site's readers and add one natural link. You get a byline, a bio and a mention that lasts, on terms Google's rules allow.

What Google says about guest posts

Google accepts guest posts that serve readers and penalizes those built to pass ranking credit. In its 2017 reminder on article campaigns, Google wrote that it "does not discourage these types of articles in the cases when they inform users, educate another site's audience or bring awareness to your cause or company."

Its warning signs include "stuffing keyword-rich links to your site in your articles," mass publishing and writers with no subject knowledge.

Today's link spam policy names "links with optimized anchor text in articles, guest posts, or press releases distributed on other sites." When a publisher charges a fee, Google's outbound link guide calls for rel="sponsored" on paid placements.

Google's newer site reputation abuse policy covers "third-party content" published "mainly because of that host's already-established ranking signals." Google's example is "a medical site hosting a low-quality, third-party advertising page about 'best casinos'." We pitch only sites where your article fits and passes a real editor.

How we pick publications: the Masthead Test

The Masthead Test checks six things about a publication before we pitch it, and a site that fails any row drops off the shortlist. We start by asking whether your buyers would choose this publication themselves. Then we look at who edits it, who writes for it and what else it links to.

Reach, authority and AI mentions from guest posts

A good guest post earns you readers, a name in your field and mentions that AI tools can pick up, with the link as one part of the return. A trade-site article can send referral visits for years and give journalists a reason to quote you.

Each byline with a real bio also adds to a public record of what your expert knows, which builds author authority. A CFO who writes about cash flow for three finance sites can become easier for editors and podcast hosts to find.

AI search gives you one more reason to publish. In Ahrefs' study of 75,000 brands, web mentions showed a much stronger tie to AI Overview visibility than backlinks did, which scored 0.218. An article that names your brand counts as a mention, whatever its link attribute.

So we judge each guest post on referral visits, mentions of your brand and expert, and site quality.

Sample published article layout

We plan each guest post around one layout, built so readers and editors meet an expert first and see a link second. Here is a typical piece for a finance trade site, written under a CFO's name.

  • Headline: "How to forecast cash flow when clients pay late"
  • Byline: Jane Doe, CFO at Acme Payroll
  • Opening: The problem in the reader's words, with a real example
  • Body: Three steps, one chart and two outside sources
  • The link: One mention of Acme's free cash flow template, placed in step two where readers need it, with descriptive anchor text
  • Author bio: Two lines on Jane's experience, linked to her profile on your site

Sample data for illustration.

The bio link points to an author page on your site, which helps Google and readers connect Jane to your company. If the publisher marks links nofollow or sponsored, we keep the article, since the reach and the mention still count.

Guest posting pricing

Plans are priced by the number of articles we research, pitch, write and edit each month. Editors choose what runs, so your fee pays for the work, and the report lists every pitch. Any publisher fee is your call, and those links get tagged sponsored.

Is this right for you?

Right for you if

  • You have an expert with real opinions.
  • Your buyers read trade sites or blogs.
  • You review drafts within a week.
  • You value bylines and reach.

Not the right fit if

  • You came to buy PBN or packaged links. Neither is on our menu.
  • You want a monthly quota of dofollow links.
  • Nobody on your team can share expertise.
  • You'd take any high-DA site.

What is a guest posting service?

A guest posting service gets articles written by your team published on other sites in your field. The provider finds fitting publications, pitches editors, and writes each piece with a byline, a bio and a natural link. Good services vet every site.

Is guest posting still worth it in 2026?

Yes, for reach and reputation. A strong article puts your expert in front of new readers and earns brand mentions, which Ahrefs found tie closely to AI Overview visibility. It fails when done at scale for links alone, which Google's spam policies target directly.

What are the best guest posting sites?

The best sites are the ones your buyers already read. Look for trade publications and blogs with named editors, steady posting and readers in your market. Sites with open "write for us" pages on every topic rarely pass a careful check.

Are guest post links dofollow?

Some are and some aren't. Plenty of publishers mark contributor links nofollow, and any paid placement should carry rel="sponsored" under Google's rules. We never promise a number of dofollow links. A nofollowed article on a site your buyers read still brings visits and mentions.

How much do guest posting services cost?

Guest posting is usually billed per article or bundled into a monthly plan. In Ahrefs' test, sites that asked for a fee charged under $100 on average, and paying for a followed link breaks Google's rules. For a service, writing and pitching time make up most of the fee.

Is guest posting against Google's rules?

No. Google says it doesn't discourage guest articles that inform users or educate another site's audience. What breaks its policies is guest posting at scale with keyword-rich anchors, paid links without rel="sponsored", and low-quality pages placed to borrow a host's ranking signals.
