Content / AI-assisted writing

AI content writing services.

Our AI content writing services use AI for speed and people for judgment. AI helps with research, outlines and first drafts. Editors who know your field then rebuild each piece with real examples, checked facts and your voice, so it meets Google's quality bar.

Does Google allow AI-written content?

Yes. Google allows AI-written content that helps people, and it acts against pages mass-produced mainly to win rankings, however they were made. Its 2023 guidance said that using AI or automation appropriately doesn't break its guidelines.

The line Google draws is about purpose and value. Under its spam policy, scaled content abuse happens "when many pages are generated for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings and not helping users," and the first example listed is "using generative AI tools or other similar tools to generate many pages without adding value for users."

Google's page on using generative AI content calls AI "particularly useful when researching a topic, and to add structure to original content." It warns about hallucinations and tells publishers to "manually factcheck and review all AI-generated content for accuracy and trustworthiness before publishing."

Ahrefs' 2026 study points the same way, with low and moderate AI pages earning two to three times the impressions of heavily AI-written ones.

Where AI helps and where humans lead

AI handles speed and pattern work well, and people lead wherever a page has to be true, specific or persuasive to a real buyer. We split every job along that line, as the table shows, then hold the finished piece to PROOF, our content standard.

TaskAI doesA person does
ResearchSummarizes sourcesPicks the angle, checks sources are real
OutlineSuggests headingsMatches the outline to search intent
First draftWrites a rough versionRewrites with your examples

Applied to AI-assisted work, Purpose means each piece answers one real search. Real expertise comes from a person who has done the work. Original value is the detail a model can't know, such as your pricing logic or a customer story. Obvious answers stay up front. Footnotes are checked by hand, since AI tools can invent sources.

Why raw AI drafts underperform

Unedited AI drafts tend to fall short because they repeat what every other page already says. A model trained on the open web tends to reproduce the average of that web, so an unedited draft repeats the advice, structure and sometimes the mistakes of pages already ranking.

  • Nothing new. Google's helpful content guidance asks whether a page offers "original information, reporting, research, or analysis." A raw draft rarely does, because the model has never met your customers.
  • Confident errors. Invented statistics and dead citations slip through when nobody checks.
  • No voice. Readers spot copy that could belong to any company.

When AI-assisted content makes sense

It works well for product descriptions from a spec sheet, glossary entries, FAQ expansions and guide drafts your expert will reshape. It's a poor choice for medical, legal or financial advice, opinion pieces and anything where one wrong number could cost a customer money. Those we write from scratch.

Sample edit: AI draft vs our version

Here is a typical AI first draft for a roofing company, then the version an editor writes after a short call with the owner, at a similar length.

AI first draftOur edited version
"Roof replacement costs can vary depending on many factors. It is important to consult a professional to get an accurate estimate for your specific needs. Investing in a quality roof can provide peace of mind for years to come.""Most asphalt roof replacements we quote in Denver run $X to $Y. Three things move the price most: roof pitch, how many old layers we tear off and whether the decking underneath has rotted. We check all three on the free inspection."

Sample data for illustration.

The draft is grammatical and says nothing. The edit gives a range, names the cost drivers and ends with a next step. That knowledge comes from your team, and drawing it out on the call is the editor's job.

AI content writing costs

AI-assisted writing tends to cost less than fully human writing, because research and first drafts move faster with AI doing the groundwork. Editing, expert input and fact-checking still take real hours, so your price depends on how much of each a piece needs.

Is this right for you?

Right for you if

  • You need more content, same quality.
  • Your AI drafts fall flat.

Questions, answered.

Ask us directly
Is AI content bad for SEO?

Not by itself. Google says appropriate use of AI fits within its guidelines. Trouble starts when pages are mass-produced without adding value, which breaks the scaled content abuse policy. AI drafts that are edited, fact-checked and filled with real expertise can rank like any other page.

Which AI is best for writers?

Popular choices include ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini for drafting and research, plus Grammarly for line edits. The best one depends on the task and your team's habits. Whatever you pick, check every fact and add what the model can't know, since the process matters more than the tool.

How much does AI writing cost?

AI subscriptions are cheap, but publishable AI-assisted content costs more because of human editing, expert input and fact-checking. Expect a rate below fully human writing and above raw AI output. Technical topics need more editing time, so they cost a bit more.

Can Google detect AI content?

Google hasn't said it penalizes content for being AI-made. It looks at whether content is helpful and whether it was made mainly to manipulate rankings. Treat any AI detector score as an estimate, and spend your effort on value and accurate facts.

Should I disclose that content was written with AI?

Google suggests adding information on how content was created "in a way that makes sense for your audience." That matters most for reviews, health and finance. For routine service pages, a byline naming the reviewer shows who stands behind the piece.

Can you edit AI drafts we already have?

Yes. Our Edit Only plan takes drafts your team made with AI and runs them through fact-checking, a voice pass and PROOF. Some drafts are better rewritten from scratch, and we'll tell you which ones before you pay for edits.
